Set Headphones and CD Music

1. Click Start, choose Settings, then choose Control Panel and double click the Multimedia icon.

2. Choose the Audio tab and under Playback, click Advanced Properties.

3. In the drop-down box under Speaker Setup, choose Stereo Headphones, then click Apply.  In this window, make sure that you have selected, "Show volume control on the task bar".

4. Choose the CD music tab, and adjust the CD music volume slider to your liking.  (Maximum is recommended, so that you have a good range of control with the task bar speaker icon.)

Tip: If you have other audio programs on your computer, make sure that none of them has been set to play a certain type of audio file by default. If another program is set to play .wav, .mp3 files or CD audio by default, this will interfere with the playing of audio files in Neurolateral. If another audio program opens when trying to play a sound in Neurolateral, simply close this program, and you will be able to use the audio controls in Neurolateral.
