Using Your Own Sounds & Music

You may use any music file in the .wav or .mp3 format in Neurolateral.  These files may be used as beeps, or audio tracks for continuous play or sweeping.

For example, you may obtain a short sound that a client would like to hear as a beep.  Many of these short sounds, usually in .wav format are probably present on your computer already.  (An easy way to find these is to press Start, then Find, then under file name, type *.wav or *.mp3)  When you have found one you like, simply select it within the Neurolateral program.

Similarly you may wish to use an .mp3 format file for continuous play within Neurolateral.  It is very easy to create an .mp3 file from any audio CD (called "ripping") for this use.
FreeRIP MP3 is one example of a free and simple to use ripping program.  With a click or two, you create an .mp3 file from your CD, and then open it in the Neurolateral program!

You may also find that many .mp3 files are available for free download on the internet.  Amazon.com is one source for these.
