Using Your Own Images

1.  To use your own image, make sure you have it in bitmap or .bmp format.  Click on My Pictures on the Neurolateral screen, and select the one you like. You may retrieve an image file from any location in your computer, but for your convenience, you may wish to save your images in the My Pictures file folder, as this is the folder which will open by default.

2.  Although there are images bundled with the Neurolateral program, there are many internet sites, which allow free download of beautiful images for personal use, providing the possibility of limitless choice and variety. Click here to explore one free photo site.  If you can, download these in the .bmp format, or you will need to convert them.  This can easily be done in most graphics programs, or also on some sites on the internet.  Please contact us if you need further help with this.

3.  Another exciting option, is to have your client draw an emotionally relevant picture, and convert this to an image file for use in the Neurolateral program.  You can use a simple program, such as Microsoft Paint to do this.  There are also relatively inexpensive digital drawing pads on the market, which are designed to facilitate conversion of free-hand drawing to digital files.

4. Don't forget that you can convert text to .bmp format as well!
